Jacob Pawlowski

Jake Pawlowski is a workers’ compensation attorney at Murray Legal Group, where he is dedicated to advocating for injured workers throughout Illinois. Raised in Belvidere, Illinois—a community with deep labor roots—Jake developed an early respect for the working men and women whose efforts support their families and communities. That background continues to shape his approach to the practice of law and his commitment to protecting workers’ rights.

Jake focuses his practice on plaintiff-side civil litigation, with an emphasis on workers’ compensation matters. He represents employees who have been injured on the job and guides them through every stage of the workers’ compensation process, from initial claims through litigation before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. He is driven by a strong commitment to holding corporations and insurance companies accountable and to ensuring that injured workers receive the benefits and protections afforded to them under Illinois law. Jake approaches each case with diligence, responsiveness, and a willingness to aggressively advocate for his clients when benefits are wrongfully denied or delayed. Jake earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. Prior to law school, he received his Bachelor of Arts from Illinois State University, where he majored in Philosophy with a minor in Legal Studies.

Outside of the office, Jake is an avid Notre Dame football fan, enjoys playing in local softball leagues, and spends his free time exploring Chicago’s restaurant scene with his family. He brings the same work ethic, preparation, and commitment to his legal practice that he values in his personal life.
